Until Further Notice:Help Warehouse, a program of Lower Columbia CAP, is asking for donations of paper bags. CAP uses 600 bags each month for its USDA Commodities program, a federally funded food supplement program for low-income families and seniors. The commodities are bagged and delivered to 14 distribution sites in Cowlitz and Wahkiakum counties on the third Tuesday of each month. Paper bags can be dropped off at the CAP building, 1526 Commerce Avenue in Longview, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The Volunteer Group at the Kelso Train Depot is welcoming aboard new volunteers willing to help staff the depot during business hours.
There are three four-hour shifts at the train depot every day of the week.
Anyone 21 years of age and older are welcome to volunteer.
Applications for depot volunteering are available for pick-up at the train depot.

There is no cost for foster parents or low-income families.
Every student receives an AHA Student Book, a student supply kit, and a CPR Barrier in a key chain holder, First Aid Kits available for $10

The community is invited to a Special Turkey Bingo Extravaganza at the Monticello Park located at 605 Broadway in Longview, Friday, November 18th beginning at 2pm.
Turkey Bingo, where festive prizes will be awarded just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Prizes are themed after Thanksgiving and all that goes into hosting the dinner. Winners can choose from baskets featuring everything needed to make a course for the meal such as Green Bean Casserole Basket, Mashed Potatoes Basket, Relish Tray Basket, Fruit Basket with Cider and much more. Other prizes will include turkey’s, ham’s, turkey baster with pan, Appetizer Baskets and Containers for Leftovers Basket. There is no cost to play. Each participant will receive one bingo card. Additional cards can be given for a $1 donation which will go to our local food bank.

Kelso First Baptist Church is having their annual Community Thanksgiving Meal on Saturday, November 19th from 3p-5p at the church 214 S. 4th in Kelso (The corner of 4th and Vine) This is a free event to the entire community so be sure and bring the whole family.
Kelso First Baptist is a non profit church and there will be no fee for those who come to the event.

Castle Rock Chamber’s Small Business Scavenger Hunt will take place Saturday, November 26th from 10a-4p
It will start at the Castle Rock Visitors Center where you can pick up your Scavenger Hunt map.
The Scavenger Hunt will include store discounts, store coupons, a drawing for prizes and two separate Holiday Bazaars which will be coming up!
